The Peace Bell Foundation In Hopewell Junction NY Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Sept. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- The Peace Bell Foundation in Hopewell Junction, NY is celebrating its 10^th Anniversary and will begin this fall seasons with Peace Poles being planted/dedicated at Fishkill Plains Elementary September 20^th, 2019 and NFA North in Newburgh, NY. Beginning this year, with encouragement from the Yale Consortium Peace Study, have now developed a 5^th grade Peace Essay Contest at Fishkill Plains Elementary and at the 5^th grades of Newburgh's Elementary Schools.

The following have been the foundations accomplishments these past 10 years.

4 Peace Conferences: 2 Rotary International Conferences (Atlanta & Toronto)
Rotary Peace Award at Rotary UN Day 2015-16

New Initiatives for 2019-2020 and Beyond:
Peace Essay Contest, 5^th grade - Planting Peace Poles at Elementary Schools

About The Peace Bell Foundation
Martha and Doug Sturomski are the founders of the Worldwide Peace Bell Foundation, a 501c3 not for profit begun in 2009. They have been ringing bells as a musical duo, (voices, piano, violin, concertina & hand-bells) for 28 years.

The Sturomski's, since 1975 have performed over 1000 Arts-N-Ed programs from elementary to high school and special Ed Populations. Notably they have performed at St. Patrick's Cathedral to welcome Pope John Paul II to the United States as well as performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Recital Hall, Tavern on The Green, National Arts Club, Harvard Club, Museums, the Greenbrier & Mohonk Mt. House and other resorts, on cruise ships along with churches and retirement communities along the East Coast and out to the Midwest.
