Southern Oregon Herbal Products Manufacturer Supports Victims of Childhood Cancer

Local Herbal Manufacturer Sun God Medicinals Endeavor to Support Victims of Childhood Cancer and their Families by Donating a Percentage of Sales to the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. - Sept. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- In 2019, it's estimated that more than 11,000 children under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with childhood cancer in the United States.  Additionally, about 5,000 more adolescents between the ages of 15 and 19 will be diagnosed with the disease this year. In fact, childhood cancer is the second leading cause of death of children aged 1 to 14 years in the United States, only trailing behind accidental deaths.

Supporting the victims and families affected by childhood cancer is a deeply personal cause to the team at Sun God Medicinals.  When searching for a good cause to raise money and/or awareness for, Sun God looked inward at their families, friends, and colleagues. With a desire to support a cause that would have a direct impact on the local community as well as those close to the team, Sun God was inspired by one of their very own Production Techs.  This employee pointed the Sun God Team towards a charity that's deeply personal to them, and that they're already actively raising money for themselves. That charity is the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Founded by "Tattoo Tom" after his daughter lost her battle to Stage 4 Hodgkin's Disease in 2009, the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation raises money and awareness to provide supporting care to children and their families.

Sun God Medicinals' very own Joie from the Production Team had this to say about why fighting childhood cancer is important to her: "My daughter was diagnosed with very high risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was 15, and was not allowed to use cannabis as medicine during her chemotherapy treatments. She was taking an absurd amount of pills every day." She continued, "Because of this nightmare we went through, it is my wish to help another family's child avoid some of these difficulties."

During the month of September, Sun God will donate 1% of all online sales processed through SunGodMedicinals.com to the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation.  Additionally, online shoppers will have the option to make their own voluntary donations to the charity at checkout. On raising money for charitable organizations, Sun God Medicinals' Founder & CEO Brie Malarkey said, "It's important to us that we leverage the success that we've found serving our community to further benefit our species and our planet as a whole."
