Yours Humanly 2019 Break a Sweat for Education 5K Run & Walk, Kids Fun Run

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Sept. 18, 2019 - PRLog -- The 2019 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and FREE Kids Fun Run will be held Saturday, October 5, at Walnut Creek's Heather Farm Park. Funds raised at the 5th annual event will support the local and global programs of Yours Humanly, an international nonprofit that provides underprivileged children in underserved communities access to educational programs and resources.

Yours Humanly is again partnering with MDUSD (Mt. Diablo Unified School District) Education Foundation, with part of the proceeds benefiting students and schools in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

Trophies for the chip-timed 5K run are awarded to the top three overall male and female 5K run finishers, and to the first place male and female 5K run finishers in eight age groups.

Returning is the Virtual 5K, in which supporters register online as virtual participants, running or walking their own 5K course wherever they happen to be in the United States.

Festivities include music, raffle, face painting, bounce house, balloon artist, and exhibitors.

"We truly change lives when we educate children, and the impact of that education reaches far beyond city, village, state, and national borders as educated children grow up to be leaders, innovators, and contributing members of society," says Sunny Singh, Yours Humanly Founder & CEO. "We welcome all to join us on this journey to help children achieve better, brighter futures."

Registrants will pick up their race packets on Friday, October 4, 3-7pm, at Road Runner Sports, 1975 Diamond Blvd, Concord, CA.

The day of the race:
• Check-in, 7:30am.
• Kids Fun Run, 8:45am.
• 5K Run & Walk, 9am.
• Awards & raffle draw end by 10:30am.
