Monat's Toni Vanschoyck shares basics for network marketing successSenior Executive Director motivates market partners during annual conference in Columbus
By: Toni Vanschoyck Monat's annual international conference was held Sept. 11-14, providing its market partners with tools, programs, products, promotions and incentives. Four featured market partners served as keynote speakers, including Vanschoyck, one of Monat's 11 original market partners and the first Million Dollar Club member. Known by her team for "doing the do" as someone who sets the example, Vanschoyck modeled her business on connecting with people and consistently striving for personal and professional development. Now a member of the $5 Million Dollar Club, the South Carolina resident serves as an inspiration to other market partners, whom Vanschoyck considers her family. She said that Monat family was what brought her to speak at the Ignite event, a longtime "dream goal" for her. "I love our culture because the cross lines that we have, we work together," she said, advising marketing partners to get a cross-line accountability partner if they didn't already have one. Vanschoyck spoke about the "Original Shampoo Crew" that helped start the Monat Line of Premium Hair Care Products and Systems, back when the brand didn't yet have a website or even samples. "It was based on a vision that we created," she said of the company that has since also expanded the anti-aging hair care with a new anti-aging skincare line. Back then, Vanschoyck's main motivation was making enough money for her house payment. She shared four simple things she based her business on when she was starting out: Decide; Commit; Share; and Ask. "If you're not at the place that you want in your business, you have not decided," she said. "You have to commit 110 percent to your business. … You're going to have to sacrifice something." Vanschoyck said she doesn't sell shampoo so much as share a "life-changing business opportunity." "It's a relationship business," she said. "When I finally understood that, I got it. You've got to be working your business on purpose every day." Vanschoyck's process for onboarding marketing partners is simple: Before she works with them, they must: · Provide 20 names they want to work with (their "dream team"); · Schedule a Zoom long-distance business launch within 3-5 days; · Schedule a physical launch within 7 days; · Get into a "rhythm of business," including using technology to their advantage. "Work twice as hard on yourself as you do on your business," she said, adding that 10 percent of every paycheck should be reinvested in yourself. Don't forget about free content, such as Vanschoyck's Ignite speech on YouTube, as well as books, events, podcasts and Google. "Your team will see what you're doing, and they will follow you," Vanschoyck said.
