Scholarships - Why and For Whom

GREATER NOIDA, India - Oct. 10, 2019 - PRLog -- Scholarshipsare financial aids which are awarded to the students who can afford to continue their education. A scholarship is not a loan and neither it is offered free. It is important to understand that loans need to be paid back with interest but there are always other strings attached to different types of scholarships. Generally, scholarships and grants are also used interchangeably; however, they are different from each other. Grants mean giving funds to people who are short of fund and cannot afford further education. When scholarships are provided, not only the financial status is considered but the performance of the candidate is also ensured. It motivates the students to work hard as scholarships are offered only to those students who perform exceptionally well in one or more fields.

Many organizations consider it as an investment rather than a gift. It helps them grab the admissions of meritorious students who further work harder to continue the scholarship and bring fame and name for the organisation through their brilliant performances. Most government and private organisations have a fixed number of scholarships to be given to deserving candidates. There are different types of scholarships which are being offered to students on the basis of their needs. Different organisations may set different criteria for selecting students for the purpose which may include brilliant performance in academics, sports, music and dance, theatre, athletics or drawing and painting.

Scholarships are offered to both national and international students in India. Also, many state and central government schemes are available through which scholarship is given at all levels of education viz. school, undergraduate and postgraduate. There are many scholarships available for students of research as well. Many organisations of repute such as NCERT, UGC, various government and private universities offer scholarships for laborious and deserving students. Top Business Schools including IIMs, Lloyd business School have many such scholarships to be offered to their students.
