Felicia Temple of The Voice to Perform at Nurses' Pub Gala- Future Nurses To Rise To The Occassion

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Nov. 2, 2019 - PRLog -- Felicia Temple, BSN, RN, CAPA, who competed on NBC's The Voice as part of Blake Shelton's team, will perform a medley of her hits at the Student To Nurse Black Tie Gala. The event is intended to help raise funding for The Nurses Pub Scholarship Fund to assist active nursing students in the USA and globally and for the Skid Row Initiative, helping women with children experiencing homelessness to embark on career and economic development.

Major sponsors for this event are the University of Phoenix (UOPX) Southern California and Terranea Resort, the host venue. President of The Nurses Pub, Mona Clayton, RN, an alumnus of the University of Phoenix, is partnering with fellow University of Phoenix alumnus Terri Haack, president of the Terranea Resort, and sponsor Southern California Chapter of the University of Phoenix. Together they hope to ensure that current students can gain the necessary momentum to become successful future nurses.

According to Clayton, "This is a pivotal time for The Nurses Pub and the future of aspiring nursing students. With the need for nurses globally, our event is about raising awareness for the need to assist and mentor student nurses and to provide tools for success."

The Student-to-Nurse Black Tie Gala will be held November 16, 2019, at 5 p.m. at the Terranea Resort, 100 Terranea Way, Rancho Palos Verdes, California 90275.

The Nurses Pub, a non-profit 501c 3 tax-exempt organization, was formed with the mission to empower, inspire and develop a global community of future nurses.

On board is an incredible lineup of artists and speakers such as Dr. Levi Harrison, celebrity orthopedic surgeon, seen on The Dr. Oz Show, CNN, Fox TV, Studio 11 and KTLA Morning News, will deliver his keynote speech on "The Priceless Value of Nurses." Diane White-Clayton, founding director of the BYTHAX Ensemble, a professional, musically-diverse vocal group, will lend her voice as will Dr. Paula Fellingham, founder of the Global Prosperity and Peace Initiative to uplift us with "Believe It. Become It."
