Blue Marble Geographics announces academic lab for processing drone or UAV images

AUGUSTA, Maine - Dec. 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Hallowell, Maine — Blue Marble Geographics is hosting a live webinar that will introduce the addition of photogrammetric point cloud processing from drone or UAV-captured images to the GIS software company's free academic curriculum. The webinar is an online interactive event designed for educators in higher education and begins at 2:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

The free broadcast will provide an overview of Blue Marble's academic programs that offer students and educators in the U.S. and Canada an academic curriculum, a scholarship opportunity, and free access to Global Mapper^®, the LiDAR Module^® and Geographic Calculator^® — the company's renowned GIS and geodetic software. Through these programs, colleges and universities can deploy Blue Marble applications for classroom teaching, hands-on lab instruction, and personal student use, at no cost.
