Follow on Google News | Super Tuesday Democratic Hopes~ Anh Le Weighs InSan Francisco Independent Journalist Anh Le gives his commentary about the presidential hopefuls on the Democratic side of the aisle.
WHO WILL WE CHOOSE AS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE AND OUR NEXT PRESIDENT? BY ANH LE Sen. Bernie Sanders is the leading and strongest Democratic Party candidate. I strongly support him, and had a chance to attend a rally of his last year. Sen. Sanders fights for the hard working women and men and their families of this country. Sen. Sanders is the leader not only on economic issues affecting the American people, but also on the other pressing issues confronting us including health care for Americans and the global warming crisis, our biggest existential threat. Sen. Sanders has called for "Medicare for All," or "Universal Health Care for All Americans," for decades. Such a plan will inevitably be adopted in the United States. Sen. Elizabeth Warren also deserves to lead our country. Like Sen. Sanders, Sen. Warren offers a vision for our country in which American families and their economic interests come first, not corporate America. Sen. Warren will fight hard to protect American working men and women and their families. Sen. Warren is smart, sharp, and eloquent. A brilliant Harvard Law School professor, she led a newly created consumer protection bureau during President Barack Obama's administration. Raised by working class parents, Sen. Warren knows and understands the struggles of working class families and their economic hardships. Both Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren understand the hopes and aspirations of working class Americans for their families and their children, and most importantly, these families' hard work and labor just to survive and "make it" in the increasing "inequality" Former Vice President Joe Biden is also a strong contender in this year's race. Mr. Biden should, however, be questioned about and held accountable for his vote to invade Iraq and wage war against a sovereign nation, commencing a war against Iraq which has killed millions of Iraqi children, women, and men and thousands of American soldiers, decimated much of Iraq and its infrastructure, and has left Iraq and the Middle East region in further wars and shambles. Was Mr. Biden's vote to invade Iraq a mistake by the former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee?
