Congressional Medal of Honor Society Selects Swoop to Handle Transportation

LOS ANGELES - April 10, 2020 - PRLog -- Each year the Congressional Medal of Honor Society (CMOHS - http://www.cmohs.org/) hosts a weeklong Patriot Awards series of events honoring vets, living recipients of the Medal of Honor and other Americans "who possess the highest caliber of ethics and selfless dedication in the demonstration of the six values embodied by the Medal of Honor — courage and sacrifice, commitment and integrity, citizenship and patriotism." Actor Gary Sinise founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/), was one of this year's Patriot Awards recipients.

Over 300 people attended events at the VFW Military History Museum, the Jonathan Club Patriotic Hall and the gala celebration at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Swoop's transportation and logistics duties included airport pick-ups for 150 attendees (50 different transfers) using Black Cars and SUVs, many of them ADA compliant. Onsite coordinators were brought on to facilitate all transfers. During the week, attendees were shuttled from Swoop's partner hotel, The Hyatt Westlake, to event venues in sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans (two ADA-equipped) and four charter buses (also ADA-equipped).

"This is a prestigious event but one that required executing a detailed logistics plan," said Swoop's Co-founder Peter Evenson. The event details were finalized only a few days before but changes were ongoing."  Continues Evenson, "We were continuously monitoring incoming and outgoing flights and making arrangements for transportation to and from the airport as well as between four venues and the hotel."
