The Psychiatric Industry Wants To Cash –In On The COVID-19 Pandemic

I've heard from a lot of people who have told me how hard it is to get through the day. I'm struck by the panic in their voices and the despair in their emails. She added there are "anecdotal reports of increased 911 and hotline calls from people who have suicidal thoughts or have attempted suicide." These, she noted, can be traced to the coronavirus epidemic. Calls to U.S. Crisis hotlines have spiked by 300 per cent.

With each passing day, it's becoming more clear that the emotional harm caused by this disease is as contagious as the virus itself.

A psychiatrist just launched a clinical trial on 150 individuals "repurposing" an antidepressant to treat people diagnosed with COVID-19 (purportedly for health, not mental health reasons!). The same antidepressant was prescribed to one of the most infamous school shooters in history and is documented to induce suicide and violence.

Psychiatric Times was also quick to report "it is anticipated that COVID-19 will have rippling effects." For example, the required excessive cleaning of hands could lead to compulsions. Such compulsions are a core feature of OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and "can easily be exacerbated by the threat of infectious pandemics
