MahoganyBooks Launches Virtual Authors Series

WASHINGTON - May 1, 2020 - PRLog -- MahoganyBooks, which sells titles by, for and about people of the African diaspora, is launching MahoganyBooks Front Row, a virtual author series that creates a platform for authors throughout the country to connect to their readers. The series will kick-off with New York Times bestselling author, Elizabeth Acevedo as she discusses her latest book, Clap When You Land with MahoganyBooks Co-Owner, Ramunda Young. The event takes place on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Each ticket includes an autographed copy of the book.

"Community has become even more essential during the COVID-19 pandemic," stated Co-Founder/Owner Ramunda Young. "We're excited to offer a virtual space where the book community can continue to connect and have thought-provoking discussions with powerful writers of color."

May 21 at 6:00 p.m.- National award winning author Derrick D. Barnes discusses his children's book, Who Got Game? with MahoganyBooks Co-Owner, Derrick A. Young.

May 28 at 6:00 p.m. - New York Times Bestselling author, Kimberla Lawson Roby discusses her powerful first ever non-fiction title, The Woman God Created You to Be with MahoganyBooks Owner/Co-founder Ramunda Lark Young.
