With the simple act of knocking on someone's door, MOWTampa is providing daily safety checks in addition to a hot meal. With the hurricane packs, MOWTampa is able to provide a little more safety in the event a storm hits again this year. Hurricane Irma caused a disruption in the meal delivery service for almost a week in 2017. MOWTampa is a privately funded non-profit organization that was founded in Tampa in 1975. TECO has generously sponsored this year's Hurricane Preparedness Pack Program, ensuring Tampa's homebound neighbors are educated and prepared in case of inclement weather. Volunteer drivers are needed to help deliver the packs to recipients Saturday morning, June 20th. Routes take 60-90 minutes to complete.
