COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah - June 24, 2020 - PRLog -- The Spring 2020 League Of Legends season was the first official eSports season using the PlayVs platform. ITeam USA witnessed exponential growth as many schools throughout the state of Utah, including Idaho/Nevada, competed in The Mountain Division. The Brighton Bengal Tigers were a dominant team in the regular season and regularly ranked in the leagues' top 3. It was also a very unique season as lock-downs due to COVID-19 stalled season play and the playoffs. Fortunately, due to the remote flexibility of eSports, the playoffs continued.

Brighton's varsity roster pictured from left to right: Alex Peters, Andrew Suh, Lincoln Lamoreaux, Kasey Arnerich, and Caden Smith. The head coach is Austin Gillespie.

The playoff bracket was seeded in late May and featured a dominant run by Brighton High School. The Bengal Tigers defeated the former league champions, Ed W. Clark High School from Las Vegas, NV, in a very competitive championship series. The championship was streamed on PlayVs and witness by eSports fans across Utah and across the nation.

Congratulations to The Spring 2020 Mountain Division League Of Legends champions – Brighton High School!
