A Message From Christian D. Chesson To Protect Calcasieu And Surrounding Citizens

LAKE CHARLES, La. - Sept. 7, 2020 - PRLog -- Residents of Calcasieu, Beauregard, Allen, Cameron and Jeff Davis Parishes, do not be fooled by the storm chasing contractors and others flooding our community in this desperate time of need and mass destruction.  Many have already been scammed by NOT reading the fine print and NOT getting multiple contractor bids and proposals, before being lured to sign under duress and false promise.

A watchdog group from our community is working on a way for everyone in our community to upload bids and contracts, unexecuted or not, to be confidentially, collectively and transparently reviewed with certainty.

Such a confidential review will better assure citizens of Imperial Calcasieu, our 5-parish area, are not taken advantage of during this difficult time. Imperial Calcasieu like the "Swamp Fox" who gave us our name, need to know, who is friend and who is foe, who is here to help us and who needs to go!

Many, but not all, are predators NOT from our community, who will make it "easy," and claim it "necessary," for you to upload and sign their contracts, digitally or in print, after knocking door-to-door. NEVER sign on the day you read and do NOT feel the need to sign in haste under these horrid circumstances now existing in a global disaster and pandemic.

Recovery will take a long-time and it will not be overnight. Do NOT let yourself or your loved ones be taken advantage of and made victim of fast talking, fly by night, storm chasing hustlers, who WILL leave you high and dry, with nothing, exhausting all your cash and insurance money left in your policy to fix your home.

Unfortunately, you must also be weary of insurance adjusters and the professional third-party storm chasing adjustor firms hired by them to protect their business interests, and the commissions of the adjusting firms they hired for their self-purpose. They are wise and deceptive, purpose driven, on a sole mission, with use of massive amounts of our personal information and data, derived from us, not for us, nor available to us. Information to be used against us, to rob and cheat us, out of benefits we paid for and deserve. As it is said, one cannot serve two masters, they are NOT your helping neighbor NOT your friendly hand, if they were, you would know, not because you were told.  Your best interest would be best served getting multiple detailed estimates from multiple contractors along with their business and personal contact information.
