Al Sharpton, and Marc Morial Took the Lead in Educating and Empowering Ohio Voters This Election Season
"This election is requiring a culture shift because so many are voting absentee for the first time. It is important that voters don't get confused so we must educate, motivate, and activate voters to the polls because voting is essential," says Ms. Reece. During the Voting Is Essential Statewide Summit: The Power of the Black Vote, the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation presented research conducted by a joint project between You Vote Ohio, Bliss Institute, and the University of Akron. It was reported that of the 1,037 registered voters that were surveyed, 41% had "some confidence" that their vote would be counted fairly during the November election. The top five concerns of the survey participants included 1) Covid hurting the election administration (72%), 2) Covid preventing registration/ Ms. Alicia Reece has been meeting the concerns and needs of Ohio voters this entire election season with her "Alicia Reece's Drive-Thru Voter Hubs." These pop-up activations are a "one-stop shop" for all things a voter needs to make sure their vote is counted. They also provide the tools and materials for voters within a safe environment. "This election is too critical for Black voters to be disenfranchised due to chaos and confusion. It is time to expand democracy for all Americans! #votingisessential," To view the Voting Is Essential Statewide Summit: The Power of the Black Vote in its entirety, visit https://www.facebook.com/ For more information on "Alicia Reece's Drive-Thru Voter Hubs" and how to vote in the State of Ohio, visit https://www.votealiciareece.com/ End
