Reggae Virtuoso Signs Great New Deal

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Oct. 13, 2020 - PRLog -- During the epoch of free agents, recording artists like NBA, NFL and Premier League Soccer players, are often thrust into a roller coaster of deals and trades. Generally, the most talented and best represented tend to land in the best likely scenario. One such artist is Reggae and Dancehall deejay Melekel. An International Gold, Recording Star, with releases on Interscope and Island Def Jam Digital Distribution. He first burst on the scene while touring with the Godfather of Reggae Junior Reid. A tour he preceded with appearances alongside fellow Reggae artist Capleton, Sizzla, Luciano and Jahmali. The 2012 Interscope Records distributed single, Desperado earned him Gold recognition and is now part of the world's Urban dictionary.

Fast forward to 2020, a year marked by global health concerns over the Corona virus, to find Melekel in a new recording, publishing and distribution deal with Full100Records. Although details are still coming in, reports indicate the conglomerate has acquired the artist's entire music catalog while offering options for multifarious extensions. Tentatively, the options include albums, singles and various video releases. Sources say the new deal also includes top notch merchandising offers, production of an animated series entitled "The Chronicles of Melekel" and a shoe deal.

A whistleblower with access to un-official documents, although unable to confirm the exact dollar value of the deal, has estimated it to be worth north of six figures. The first project resulting from said union; is a Reggae and Dancehall single entitled Amy Barrett Smith, Scheduled for release October 21^st 2020. As in sports, there are not many guarantees in entertainment.
