Trae Tha Truth and Harris County Reach an Agreement That Allows Inmates to Attend Virtual Funerals

HOUSTON - Nov. 23, 2020 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TEXAS—Rapper, Philanthropist, and community activist Trae Tha Truth reached an agreement with Harris this past week on behalf Harris County inmates to receive the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones.

A understanding was reached between Trae and the office of Ed Gonzalez about inmates attending funerals via zoom. This will create a way for them to receive closure despite sentences and pending cases.

Trae stepped up on behalf of the inmates and the two parties came to a mutual understand to help inmates with the loss of loved ones.

This has never happened in the city of Houston. Often when someone dies in an inmate's family, they are not able to go to the funeral. This meeting will facilitate an ongoing change that help inmates virtually attend funerals in Harris County.

Since the agreement Harris County has conducted over 20 funeral attendances via zoom.
