"Myths about Lean", free humorous video

OTTAWA, Ontario - Jan. 23, 2021 - PRLog -- The "Myths about Lean" video is now available on YouTube. It is the fifth in the Alpen Path Solutions Lean online Learning Series. The video series is getting excellent reviews on LinkedIn.

Lean coach and author France Bergeron sighs as she describes persistent and detrimental myths about Lean management. She points out that, "the conversation usually starts with 'we have a team of quality experts' that 'improve processes in our organization'." "Every time an organization gets off on the wrong foot, with what is affectionately called 'fake Lean', they are wasting time, money and effort and more detrimentally, they are sowing cynicism in their workforce," explains Bergeron. Real Lean is about engaging everyone in improving their own work to flow more value to clients. Because real Lean is a collaborative science based on flow. Real Lean also helps retain a workforce because everyone is intrinsically motivated to engage in meaningful work. "Being told what to do by someone else who does not understand the intricacy of work as it is really done every day is disrespectful to people in the organization and to customers. In the long run it is also costly to organizations that constantly lose demotivated employees and lose out on the potential to make small incremental improvements that would have value for clients," adds Bergeron.

The Alpen Path Solutions Lean Learning Series aims to break down barriers to learning about Lean and help individuals and organizations become Lean.
