Prime Aces Limousine first in Singapore ground transportation to offer Antigen Rapid Test

SINGAPORE - March 12, 2021 - PRLog -- Prime Aces Limousine, an executive ground transportation company in Singapore, is the first in its industry to the option of testing the assigned chauffeur with the Antigen Rapid Test (ART), where results are available within 30 minutes.

The ART is approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and is an extra step that Prime Aces Limousine is taking to further mitigate risks within the executive limousine service sector. According to MOH, the ART is a point-of-care test that looks for proteins on the virus surface. ARTs are cheaper than the PCR tests and can yield accurate results within 30 mins. They involve the use of nasal swab from the lower part of the nose and can identify acute infection with high sensitivity and 100% specificity.

This move was made in partnership with Minmed Group, a multifaceted healthcare group that focuses on health screening, health promotion and education, primary healthcare and diagnostic imaging. Prime Aces Limousine hopes that this move will help reduce risk of infection, hence better protecting the health and safety of their partners and customers.

The accuracy of ART minimally meets the World Health Organization's (WHO's) recommendation of at least 80% for sensitivity and 97% for specificity and has been evaluated by MOH. The difference between ART and PCR is that while ARTs can deliver results within 30 minutes, PCR tests can take one to two days before the results are known. This makes PCR highly unfeasible for pre-event testing. It can also be costly and requires trained personnel and specialized equipment to administer.
