On land purchased from the City of Walla Walla. Par 72 Drive is located below the Veterans Memorial Golf Course, Next to Borleske Stadium, the Veterans Memorial Swimming pool/park and 1 mile away from Historical Downtown Walla Walla, established in 1856. The Walla Walla Chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has made its home here since August 10, 1894, with only fifteen members and grew to one of the largest memberships in the Nation. In that 126 years it has raised 4.4 million dollars to support its community. This year alone, during one of the World's largest quarantines due to COVID-19, they were still able to support their community, by donating $4,000.00 using ENF Grants, to our Local BMAC Food Pantry and Veterans Stand Down. As well as $6,000.00 for Student Scholarships within our community. This will be Walla Walla Elks Lodge's third building since its inception, one lost due to a fire in 1913, and one sold in 2019 due to the cost of upkeep. Now in 2021 a 6,000 sq/ft building will be erected to support the membership and it projected growth, to continue the good works and deed of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The Walla Walla Chapter has proven that you do not need a building to continue their good works and this building will be a Beacon to the community, from where the Elks can gather and grow. Nationally there are 1,900 Elks Lodges with a total membership nearing 800,000 Elks, who are committed to the principles of our Order, Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity. Members must be an American Citizen who are at least 21 years of age and believe in God. To learn more visit www. Elks.org/wallawallaelks287 End
