He went on to serve as Recovery Director at Help for Heroes, overseeing services for over 18,000 wounded and sick servicemen, veterans and families. In addition to his work in the UK, he has advised other nations on creating or developing their own recovery services for service personnel, including working with the United States Air Force and supporting NATO in advising the Ukraine. Kusinga brings strengths to the board as a specialist in corporate culture, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion. As the Chief Culture and Talent Officer at Chubb, a global property and casualty insurer, she brings more than 25 years of work experience to providing an inclusive, equitable environment that enables high performance. Born in Uganda, Kusinga attended university in Nova Scotia, Canada and currently resides in Philadelphia. Richmond emphasizes that a close working relationship between the Board and the executive team is essential for a thriving and impactful organization, "The executive leadership team and I meet each week, using our time together to envision the best use of our resources, refine strategy, and ensure that Worldmaker is living its core values," says Richmond. "As one of our Board members, retired Lt General Jeff Buchanan says, we place great value on ensuring that our video matches our audio." Founded as a community resiliency project in Iowa dedicated to stop a cluster of teen suicides and use research to weave community-based safety nets to prevent further losses, Worldmaker quickly became a leader in evidence-based human resilience programming.
