Avery Burton Foundation Launches Resiliency Project

HENDERSON, Nev. - June 8, 2021 - PRLog -- The Avery Burton Foundation (ABF), a non-profit 501c.3 focused on destigmatizing the conversion around mental health through outreach and educational resources, is pleased to introduce the Avery Burton Foundation Resiliency Project. The project debuts with original web content – including the publication of local Southern Nevada high school senior student scholarship essays.

About ABF
To honor Avery Burton's memory and warn families about the dangers of depression, his family started a scholarship in his name. The Avery Burton Excellence in Academics and Sports Scholarship ensures his legacy will live on through the work of the ABF and storytelling initiatives, including the Resiliency Project, which is working to publish student essays from this year's record 57 applicants. The goal of the project is to ensure students have their voices heard and inspire hope for others struggling with the mental health toll from isolation as a result of distance learning during the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.
