Follow on Google News | Acetaldehyde Assay Kit (Fluorometric)A quick and sensitive fluorometric assay to detect acetaldehyde in various sample types.
By: BioVision Inc ACH is a carcinogen and can lead to mitochondrial abnormalities, growth suppression, impairment of microtubule function, failure in DNA repair etc. Additionally, increased ACH levels are associated with neurological pathologies including stroke, Wernike encephalopathy, brain damage in prenatal infants, Alzheimer disease etc. BioVision's Acetaldehyde Assay Kit provides a quick and sensitive way to detect acetaldehyde in various sample types. In this assay, ALDH2 catalyzes the oxidation of acetaldehyde to generate NADH, which then couples with the ACH probe to produce a fluorescence signal measured at Ex/Em = 535/587 nm. The fluorescence signal is directly proportional to the concentration of ACH in the sample. The assay can detect as low as 10 µM of ACH under the assay conditions. Figures. A. ACH Standard Curve. *This standard curve is for demonstration only. A Standard Curve must be run with each assay. B. Determination of ACH in saliva before and after spiking with 50 and 100 μM of ACH respectively C. Determination of ACH in banana. Assay was performed according to assay protocol. Storage Conditions -20ºC USAGE For Research Use Only! Not For Use in Humans. For more information on this Assay Kit Cat# K2101 https://bit.ly/ End
