ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia - Nov. 19, 2021 - PRLog -- As cryptocurrency is becoming more mainstream in worldwide financial transactions, another use has popped up in light of the devastating floods that recently hit Canada's western most province of British Columbia. Entire cities and towns have been evacuated while major highways leading east from the major metropolis of Vancouver have either been closed due to mud and water flows or due to the entire collapse of highways being washed away.

Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated and it is estimated that thousands of livestock and animals have also died as a result of the record flooding. Some communities can not access supplies while others have had major infrastructure destroyed. Water levels in some areas continue to rise due to the damage caused to dykes and barriers.

Canada's west coast suffered record heat and wildfires this past summer and now are being hit by record flooding. Some of the mudslides can be attributed to the grounds being weakened resulting from the aforementioned wildfires. The recovery will last months and in some cases, years.
