Unicorn Children's Foundation to Host a Virtual Creative Workforce Solutions Summit

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Nov. 19, 2021 - PRLog -- Unicorn Children's Foundation is hosting a virtual Creative Workforce Solutions Summit from December 2-4, 2021. The Creative Workforce Solutions Summit will give entrepreneurs and social enterprises the tools needed to start or grow a business owned by or employing young adults with developmental or learning differences.  Despite a willingness and desire to go to work, the employment rate of people with disabilities is just 37.8%.

The summit will offer local and national speakers, thirty-nine (39) break-out sessions/workshops, meet up opportunities and an exhibitor hall.  Topics will cover transition & life care planning, business planning & management, and ideas for business start-up.  Several existing entrepreneurial businesses will share their personal experience, including: The Chocolate Spectrum, John's Crazy Socks, Howdy Homemade, Downs & Towns, LLC and many more. Exhibitors will highlight their products and many will offer discounts on holiday gift shopping.

In conjunction with the virtual summit, Unicorn Children's Foundation will be hosting a sneak-peak and soft opening of the Unicorn Connection Center located in Boca Raton on December 4th from 1pm – 5pm. There will be a Holiday Market supporting Uniquely Gifted Artisans. Make sure to stop by with your holiday gifts, because there will be complimentary gift wrapping hosted by the Unicorn Children's Foundation Junior Board and volunteers. Shopping can be exhausting, so the baristas in Special Percs Café will brew you up a cup of kindness. Unicorn Connection Center is located at 99 SE Mizner Blvd., Suite 120, Boca Raton, Florida 33432.

Sharon Alexander, CEO of The Unicorn Children's Foundation, looks to promote community collaboration when facing such a complex issue.  "We are so excited to showcase innovative employment solutions for individuals with special needs and their families. The Summit will focus on 'out of the box' ideas, while educating entrepreneurs and families about the resources available.  The pandemic has posed additional barriers for a group of individuals who already face struggles with obtaining and maintaining traditional employment.  This conference will emphasize the value of re-thinking employment with a focus on providing creative solutions rather than exacerbating poor outcomes."

Registration is $50 for all 3 days of interactive sessions.  CEU's are available for CRCC, FL APD, and CESPs. More information about the Summit, presenters/speakers and a link to register can be found at https://www.unicornchildrensfoundation.org/virtualconfere....  A limited number of scholarships are available if you have an economic hardship, please contact Dr. Kerri Morse at kerri@unicornchildrensfoundation.org for more information.
