EO Invites NJ's Student Entrepreneurs to Compete in Global Student Enterprise Awards (GSEA)

LIVINGSTON, N.J. - Nov. 30, 2021 - PRLog -- On January 28, 2022, the NJ Chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EONJ) will host the local level of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) – the annual global competition featured in the recent Disney+ documentary, Own the Room. Entries are open now through January 14, 2022 for students who founded and run a business, are enrolled in a university/college, and live or go to school in NJ. (See full details at www.GSEA-NJ.com.) The winner will receive $2,000, business mentoring, and other resources, plus the chance to represent the state in the US East Competition. The Eastern US Champion will advance to the Global Competition in Spring 2022, along with students from 50 other countries.

• WHY: First Place Winner will receive assistance to help jumpstart their business, including $2,000, business mentoring, essential business services, and invaluable connections to successful entrepreneurs and peers. First Place Winner will also expand awareness of their business by advancing to the Eastern US Championship with the possibility to reach the Global Competition – which a previous NJ student has done!

GSEA is the premier awards program for students who own or operate a business while attending college/university. Judges use a rubric to determine which student has shown the strongest capacity to navigate the chaos of starting a business and the deepest drive to succeed all while completing a degree. The competition also recognizes special efforts towards Social Impact and Innovation.

Local GSEA competitions are currently underway around the world. In 2021, over 1,200 student entrepreneurs applied, with 38 country champions competing in the Global Finals.
