Choose Love Awareness Month™ Call For Poetry

Seeking Poems Based on the Choose Love Formula™ in February 2022

NEWTOWN, Conn. - Jan. 31, 2022 - PRLog -- The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™, providing no-cost, next-generation, character social emotional development (CSED) programs, announced today a call for poetry for the Choose Love Awareness Month (CLAM) Poetry Contest. Submissions are being accepted February 1 through 28, 2022. The Choose Love Movement honors six-year-old Sandy Hook victim, Jesse Lewis.

The Choose Love Poetry Contest is seeking poems based on the Choose Love Formula™. The contest is open to students and adults with prizes being awarded to schools and individuals. Poems based on a pillar of the Choose Love Formula -- Courage, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Compassion-in-Action or simply how you Choose Love and what it means to you -- will be accepted in any poetry format.

All poems will be published in a book and made available for purchase in June as part of Jesse's birthday celebration and fundraiser. All proceeds from sales will benefit the Choose Love Movement™.

Choose Love Awareness Month has been held each year since 2014 to promote hope, healing and connection through living a Choose Love lifestyle. There is a call to action to complete one or more of 10 Ways to Get Involved which will be rewarded with a raffle for an iPad and more.

The Choose Love Summit will wrap up CLAM on February 26 and 27, 2022. The two-day virtual summit for educators will feature presentations from courageous educators, mental health and wellness experts and Choose Love Ambassadors.

The Choose Love Movement is a community-led movement offering free CSED programming to help people take their personal power back by thoughtfully responding to any situation or circumstance. We have reached over 3 million children in all 50 states and 120 countries.

"We want to highlight and celebrate all of the ways that students and adults are Choosing Love through poetic expression. By Choosing Love, we are creating a ripple effect that is making a difference in our own lives and the lives of others," said Scarlett Lewis, Chief Movement Officer of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement.

About the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement

Jesse Lewis, a six-year-old first grader, was a victim of the Sandy Hook tragedy whose action saved the lives of nine classmates. Jesse left behind a message on a household chalkboard, "Nurturing Healing Love," that became the inspiration for his mother, Scarlett, to found the Choose Love Movement.
