ACEC/PA Honors JMT Technology Group as Studies, Research and Consulting Projects Winner

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Feb. 1, 2022 - PRLog -- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) named Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson Inc. as the 2022 Studies, Research and Consulting Projects award winner for the Local Roads Mileage System Development and Implementation project, at the organization's annual Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence event.

"JMT Technology Group's work with the PennDOT Local Road Mileage System has created a more streamlined process that allows the system to work more effectively," said Leeann Sherman, executive director of ACEC/PA. "We are so impressed by the work JMT has been able to accomplish with their knowledge, skill and innovative ideas."

JMT Technology Group did amazing work to rewrite and implement the PennDOT Local Road Mileage System. The system is used to determine annual Municipal Liquid Fuels (Act 655) and Highway Transfer (Turnback) Program payments to municipalities throughout the state of Pennsylvania, which sum up to an annual dollar amount of approximately $500 million. This project focused on replacing the dotGrants system, which was the legacy management interface for the Liquid Fuels Road—a local road—inventory. JMT worked with stakeholders from PennDOT Central Office, as well as numerous districts, to develop, test and implement the new system.
