CenterCal Properties Hires Paul Kurzawa as Chief Operating Officer

OXNARD, Calif. - Feb. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- CenterCal Properties, one of the most active and creative mixed-use developers and first-class retail operators in the United States, welcomes Paul Kurzawa as Chief Operating Officer. Kurzawa brings over 27 years of experience in the commercial real estate and entertainment industries, where he has held several leadership roles with both developers and operators.

Kurzawa's first priority will be to launch CenterCal's new third-party services division which aims to partner with real estate owners and investors and support them in revitalizing their retail centers, enhancing value for their customers, retailers and communities they serve. Specifically, the new division will leverage CenterCal's experience in development and construction, marketing, leasing, design services, and property and asset management, as well as their unique tenant relationships.

Prior to joining CenterCal, Kurzawa worked for some of the most distinguished global real estate and entertainment companies in the world including Blackstone/Equity Office, Dreamworks Animation, Caruso Affiliated and Westfield. He has been involved in the development of several iconic projects including Fashion Valley in San Diego, Westfield Century City and Valley Fair, the Americana at Brand in Glendale and Willis Tower in Chicago. Most recently, Mr. Kurzawa held the position of Executive Vice President – Director of Operations for Unibail Rodamco Westfield, where he was responsible for development and delivery of the overall strategic financial operating performance for URW's $24 billion US real estate portfolio. Kurzawa also launched a multi-million-dollar retail development and entertainment business for DreamWorks, launching two first-of-its-kind location-based entertainment concepts.
