Ancira Auto Group begins a new program, Ancira Gives Back, a $300K giveaway to three beneficiary org

SAN ANTONIO - March 28, 2022 - PRLog -- The Ancira Auto Group (Ancira) has always been synonymous with their charitable gifts throughout the San Antonio community. Last month, Ancira donated $1 million to area organizations, including the Battered Women and Children's Shelter, San Antonio Sports, San Antonio Parks Foundation, Brighton Center, and the San Antonio Zoo, as part of a larger effort to support these groups' respective missions. Ancira seeks an additional way to connect with the needs of San Antonians through the conception and launch of the Ancira Gives Back $300K Giveaway program. Ancira will contribute donations of $100,000 each to three deserving nonprofit organizations* in the area. The winning nonprofits will be nominated and voted on by the San Antonio community.

Ancira Gives Back is a new charitable giving brand extension for Ancira and will run in partnership with the Express-News. The program kicks off this month with its inaugural launch and will culminate in June with the auto group's 50th anniversary.

"We were looking to expand and give more into the community, and Mark Medici and I turned banter on Twitter into let's make it possible…it all fit so well into the mission that we wanted to accomplish. The mission is simple; we need to lift up San Antonio. We may not have all the perspective to know all the needs within our community, but the people of San Antonio do. They know and can help us give to the most in need," said Ancira Vice President April Ancira.

"What we love about this program is that it takes the voice of the people, marries it to an amazing community ambassador in April Ancira and Ancira Auto Group, and we get to the heart of where the city thinks the needs are the greatest. It is a beautiful way for us to leverage our audience and voice to help the Ancira Group give back. The nomination phase for Ancira Gives Back begins March 27 and ends April 24.

The voting phase begins May 1 and ends May 31.

Selections will be made by early June and will be contacted by Express-News on behalf of Ancira.
