Alpha Dental Clinic is poised to offer free dental care as per the latest Government's guidelines

MONTREAL - April 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Dental treatments can be expensive, especially if you do not have dental insurance. Many Canadians avoid going to the dentist for as long as possible because of being unable to afford dental insurance or the fear of the cost of dental treatment. They put off necessary dental treatments such as pain treatment, cleanings, teeth extractions, and even fillings. The Canadian Government has proposed to offer a free dental plan in its new budget. As per the new proposal, the suggested dental program would start with those under 12 years old in 2022, then expand to under-18-year-olds, seniors, and persons living with a disability in 2023. Full implementation would be rolled out in 2025.

Free dental services render dental care to thousands of individuals who would otherwise go without proper dental treatments every year. The scheme is directed to help people who need to get their teeth fixed and buy medication but cannot afford it. As per the issued guidelines, the NDP government would cover an extensive array of preventative and restorative services, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, X-rays, fillings, crowns, root canals, and treatments for gum disease, as well as the cost of dentures and braces for non-cosmetic purposes. The dental program would be restricted to families with an income of less than $90,000 annually, with no co-pays for anyone under $70,000 annually in income.
