Live Out Loud's 2022 Annual Young Trailblazers Gala to Take Place on May 23, 2022

NEW YORK - May 3, 2022 - PRLog -- Live Out Loud, the nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth by connecting them to out-and-proud role models, educational resources, and growth opportunities, is excited to announce that their Twenty-First Annual Young Trailblazers Gala will take place on May 23, 2022. Join Live Out Loud at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers (Pier 61) to celebrate LGBTQ+ high school seniors that exemplify the values and mission of Live Out Loud.

Live Out Loud is elated that Claybourne Elder, actor, activist, and most importantly - proud dad, will be the emcee for Twenty-First Annual Young Trailblazers Gala. Elder is currently playing Andy in the acclaimed revival of Company on Broadway and John Adams on HBO's The Gilded Age.

Live Out Loud will also be honoring those who advocate and assist in the encouragement of LGBTQ+ youth. Live Out Loud is please to present Colleen Taylor, President of U.S. Merchant Services at American Express with the Corporate Excellence Award. Tiq Milan, Public Speaker, Thought Leader, Inclusive Media Consultant and Host will receive the Soaring Spirit Award. Deena Soni, English Department Chair, English Teacher & Gender Sexuality Alliance Advisor at the High School of Art & Technology is the recipient of Educator of the Year Award for 2021-2022 school year.

Live Out Loud offers LGBTQ+ teens encouragement, education, and most importantly, valued connections to role models who share their stories and advice for success. Live Out Loud also encourages LGBTQ+ youth to build their knowledge of LGTBQ+ history and struggles for equality and increase their awareness of current issues and challenges. Live Out Loud uses their resources, programs, and relationships to help LGBTQ+ youth build their self-esteem, give them the ability to develop leadership and advocacy skills.

Live Out Loud's Young Trailblazers Gala is the annual event where four hundred donors, corporate supporters, elected officials, honorees, and youth scholarship winners come together in order to celebrate Live Out Loud's life-affirming educational programming for LGBTQ+ youth.
