FREELAND, Wash. - May 6, 2022 - PRLog -- We will be auctioning our first production knife – the "Raider Creek™ EDC" - on eBay to raise awareness for an upcoming Kickstarter campaign" - this announcement by Dan Vorhis of Badfeather™ Knives.

The first auction will be for Raider Creek No. 3, starting on Sunday, May 15. The auctions for Knives 2 and 1 will follow, according to Vorhis. Bidding starts at $1 for all auctions. Knives in the auction have their production number etched into the blade, and will come in a simple wooden box.

Badfeather was featured in a recent "KnifeNews.com" interview*, where their "Raider Creek EDC" generated significant interest. Successful Kickstarter campaigns depend upon a ready number of people who are aware of a company or product. Vorhis estimates he needs about 5000 email addresses to have a realistic chance of launching the company.

"Raider Creek" EDC is a unique, fixed-blade (blade with full tang) EDC designed to be carried in a pocket. Unlike other fixed-blade pocket knives, this knife requires no external sheath - the handle sheathes the blade. Vorhis said he wanted to launch Badfeather Knives with a premium EDC. The "Raider Creek" is that.

"Raider Creek" has a one-piece blade with full tang, and so avoids the weakness of every folding knife – its joint. RC's locking mechanism clamps like a vice, resulting in a very stiff knife with zero play when locked down. Other features:
  • CPM-S35VN blade/tang and titanium alloy handle.
  • One-hand open and close. Glove friendly.
  • Field strips and assembles without tools (gritty environment, fish scales, etc.).
  • Blade locks out at any length – useful for opening boxes or dressing a rabbit.
  • Very low profile pocket hook. Combined with the knife's length and heft, this knife is secure in a pocket.
  • Six parts make up the knife - no tiny screws or ball bearings.
The "Raider Creek" is long - 7 inches long for a 3 inch blade - you'll need a deep pocket. And, at 5.3 oz. (149 grams), this is not a knife for the lightweight folder crowd. MSRP for "Raider Creek" is US$320.
