As stated in his campaign announcement, Moss' goals, if elected, include making Chatham County the "gold standard" of public education, regardless of zip code. He wants to put children first and have a solid foundation to help them grow into the leaders of tomorrow. Moss would like to increase parent involvement and awareness while ensuring that students do not have to face a one-size-fits- "I would like to see SCCPSS students presented with an array of life and occupational choices in addition to the college route, from trades to military services," said Moss. "When the students are given a chance to meet folks and hear about a multitude of career paths, it can truly change their future trajectory." He strongly believes the school system should provide a culture of excellence that all students can strive toward, with high expectations and academic standards. "When you operate in an environment that focuses on excellence and achievement, it raises everyone up," Moss said. "If we provide excellent instruction at all of our schools, it will allow each and every student to grow and achieve."
