By: March For Our Lives Guest speakers include California State Assembly Member Al Muratsuchi, California State Senate District Representative Davis Han, who will read a statement prepared by California Senator Ben Allen, South Bay trauma therapist Christine MacInnis, a South Bay educator, Lance Dominguez, the organizer of the South Bay March For Our Lives, and other potential guests are in development. Across the nation hundreds of March For Our Lives marches will be happening with the largest predicted to be in Washington D.C. with potentially 100,000 people and another in Los Angeles with possibly 50,000. News of the march comes weeks after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 21 people, including 19 children. Since that shooting there's been 38 more mass shootings to add to the more than 250 just in 2022 in the United States. "Together, we rose up 4 years ago. 1 million of us demanded change. We built a movement. We voted for new leaders. And the gun deaths increased," the organization tweeted. "Now is the moment we march again." Local organizer Lance Dominguez, a parent of three, is organizing the South Bay chapter's march to end gun violence. "This isn't a republican vs. democrat issue. It's not a gun owner vs. non-gun owner issue. This is a human issue. Our goal is to end gun violence for ALL Americans," stated Dominguez. "If you're tired of seeing children being murdered in classrooms across our country, march with us! If you're tired of seeing people murdered in grocery stores, movie theaters, churches, concerts, and in our streets, march with us! If you know someone that was killed by a gun, march with us! If you're tired of hearing thoughts and prayers from politicians but not seeing any action, march with us!" To join this event visit the Facebook event page https://fb.me/ End End
