Sunday 3rd July - Fun Day & Charity Football at Welford Football Club with Celeb FC

NORTHAMPTON, U.K. - June 20, 2022 - PRLog -- Welford Victoria FC's fundraising funday on Sunday July 3rd is raising money for three amazing charities: Hope Against Cancer, PSC Support and the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

Raising £1000 at their last event has left them wanting to do even more. So this year sees Celeb FC coming on board, to bring our own brand of Charity Football to the event.

As well as the match against Celeb FC, there will be entertainment, food, activities, bouncy castles and a pop-up gin bar by Hinckley's award-winning Bond Street Distillery.

"These charities are all close to our hearts", explained club chairman Barrie Dowsett, "so we're desperate to raise as much money for them as we possibly can.  we are trying to be a little different here: we don't define our success by the number of games we win, but by the contribution we make to our local community. Fundraising is obviously a part of that, but sport and exercise have a huge positive impact on people and we shouldn't underestimate the benefits they bring too. It'd be far less effort for us and for our sponsor if they just wrote a cheque to the charities, but then all the people who we expect to come along and really enjoy our event would miss out on everything we have lined up for them"

Adam Green, club vice-chairman and manager of Welford Victoria's Sunday team, extended his thanks to Market Harborough-based R&D tax credit consultants Myriad Associates, who are covering the event's running costs and enabling the charities to benefit as much as possible. "We're extremely grateful to Myriad Associates for their generosity in sponsoring this event, as well as many of the other things we do. It never ceases to amaze us how much they're prepared to support everything the football club does. Similarly, we're thrilled to have Bond Street Distillery running our bar for us, bringing some of their amazing gins to entertain the adults while the children enjoy all the activities."

This event is going to be a huge local charity extravaganza that includes a BBQ, Bar, Bouncy Castle, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Local Stalls, Local Musicians & so much more
