Congratulations to Mark Kantrowitz!

MCLEAN, Va. - July 27, 2022 - PRLog -- The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) proudly announces that Mark Kantrowitz, an alumnus of CEE's inaugural 1984 Research Science Institute (RSI) and a member of CEE's Board of Trustees, published his first column as an official contributor to The Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Kantrowitz, President of Cerebly, Inc., is a nationally recognized expert on student financial aid, scholarships, college savings plans and student loans. He delivers practical information, advice and tools to students and their families for them to make informed decisions about planning and paying for college. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and philosophy from MIT and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a recipient of the 2021 Lieberman Award for Outstanding Achievement in STEM.

Mr. Kantrowitz has been quoted in more than 10,000 newspaper and magazine articles. He has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Reuters, Huffington Post, U.S. News & World Report, Money, Bottom Line/Personal, Forbes, Newsweek, and Time. He was named a Money Hero by Money magazine and a College Financing Ace by Investment Advisor magazine. He is the author of five bestselling books about scholarships and financial aid, including How to Appeal for More College Financial Aid, Twisdoms about Paying for College, Filing the FAFSA, and Secrets to Winning a Scholarship.

This year Mr. Kantrowitz is serving as Director of RSI being held from June 26 to August 6 in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
