Nichole is living with a Traumatic Brain Injury after her vehicle was hit by a school bus. Although she sustained numerous injuries, developed seizures, and completely lost her short-term memory, golf remained a constant throughout her brain injury journey; she says it saved her. Anne McDonnell, Executive Director of the BIAV said, "We are extremely excited to welcome Nichole to our 2022 Annual Charity Golf Classic as our speaker. Nichole is a wonderful example to everyone that brain injury recovery isn't always easy, but finding passion during recovery can keep people going." Nichole was back to playing golf a year after her injury. A few years later, the opportunity arose for her to purchase Windy Hill Golf Course & Sports Complex. She hopes Windy Hill will be a place a place of growth for their visitors. Nichole says, "You don't know what everyone is going through. Maybe this is their way to get away from the world and whatever might be holding them back." "We invite anyone who has an interest in golf and supporting a good cause to explore sponsorship opportunities or play golf with us. We'll have a wonderful speaker, golf pro's giving lessons, raffle with prizes donated by businesses across Virginia, great food, and all around fun," said McDonnell. ### About The Brain Injury Association of Virginia: The Brain Injury Association of Virginia is the primary source of information and personal support for thousands of individuals, families, and professionals living in Virginia whose lives have been touched by a lifeāaltering, often devastating brain injury.
