The returning board members are Jane Nye, Janna Orkney, and Ray Tjulander. Current board vice-chair Nye began serving on the board in 2020. "I'm honored to continue to represent Triunfo Water & Sanitation District customers and ensure that we are using ratepayer funds prudently," says Nye. "Our focus on the Pure Water Project will generate a local supply of water for years to come. My goal during the next term is to continue driving the Pure Water Project forward." Orkney was first elected to the board in 2006. "I am strongly committed as a continuing board member to make sure that Triunfo mitigates the extreme drought as much as possible for our ratepayers," Tjulander joined the board in 2017 and has served as board chair. "I'm happy to serve and guide the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District in these very challenging times," says Tjulander. The incumbent board members will be sworn in at the November 28 board meeting and begin serving their next four-year terms on December 2, 2022. Their terms expire on December 4, 2026. Directors Lean Shapiro and James Wall fill the other two seats on the five-member board. Their staggered four-year terms expire in December 2024. Triunfo Water & Sanitation District board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month—in person at the Oak Park Library--and virtually. In October, the district moves its offices from Ventura to Westlake Village. It will be the first time the district will have offices within the district boundaries.
