SWENSON receives Student Housing Project of the Year Award from MultiFamily Executive Magazine

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Oct. 26, 2022 - PRLog -- SWENSON, a leading Northern California real estate development company, announced their project—The Grad San Jose—has been named the winner of the 2022 Student Housing Project of the Year from Multifamily Executive Magazine (MFE). The Awards, which shine a spotlight on exceptional projects, people, and programs across the nation, were announced in the September issue and awarded at the annual MFE Conference, which took place at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. SWENSON was a joint developer (along with AMCAL and Coleraine), architect, and builder on this project.

The Grad San Jose is a 260-unit, 1,039-bed, off-campus housing project located on a 1.5-acre site within one block of San Jose State University (SJSU). Located at East San Carlos Street between South Second and South Third streets, the single 19-story, L-shaped, elevator-equipped building offers 17 floors of apartments and ground floor retail.

The Grad San Jose includes a three-story parking deck and an amenities deck on the back side of the building. The community's amenities include a building with an exercise center, a swimming pool with spa and sundeck, BBQ grills, picnic area and landscaping.
