The EMME (ElectroMagnetics for ME) is the latest of twelve devices invented by Dr. Bart Flick (board-certified orthopedic surgeon, rehabilitation specialist, and researcher) that helps the body's cells and tissues function better using pulsed, electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy. His business partner, Dr. David Matthews-Morgan (a Ph.D. Physicist), and the staff at Wellness PEMF feel that this type of therapy will supplant many drug treatments. Their non-invasive, PEMF therapies have successfully treated over 100 conditions in thousands of patients without the potential side effects that most drugs have.

Like many of its predecessors, the EMME has seven magnetic coils with different frequencies on each one. The seven frequencies – based largely on research conducted by Dr. Harry van Gelder in the 1940s and 1950s – allow the EMME to treat conditions at both the cellular and tissue levels successfully. All the other PEMF devices on the market use at most two frequencies, limiting the number of conditions they can treat. The EMME, like its immediate predecessor, the MagRez-B, has the same number of magnetic coils and is small enough to be placed in several locations on the body (e.g., head, neck, shoulder, back, hip, knees, etc.) Unlike the MagRez-B, which downloads treatment programs via a USB cable, the 30 treatment programs available for the EMME are downloaded via a smartphone app using a Bluetooth connection. In addition, different treatment programs can be downloaded via the app to multiple EMMEs which are placed near the conditions they are treating.
