Islamic Arts Society receives its largest yet grant from Houston Endowment

The grant will be used for the promotion of Islamic Arts in Houston and surrounding areas.

SPRING, Texas - Nov. 18, 2022 - PRLog -- Houston, TX.
The Islamic Arts Society has received a substantial grant from Houston Endowment. The grant was announced at a reception held by Rabia & Omar Samji at the Sugar Creek Country Club. The event was attended by board members of the Islamic arts Society and Houston Endowment along with elected officials and dignitaries. A display of Islamic, Quranic art and antiquities was provided courtesy of the Mumtaz and Sada Cumber Foundation.
The $100,000 unrestricted grant will be used for capacity building and bringing more quality arts programs to residents of Houston and its surrounding areas.
Islamic Arts Society aims to share the rich heritage of Islamic Arts. By promoting Islamic arts, we hope to promote mutual understanding and bring the broader American community together. The society organizes events including art displays, art workshops, and the signature "Islamic Arts Festival" which is the largest and oldest festival of Islamic arts in the USA. The next festival is scheduled for the 10 th and 11 th of December 2022 in Spring, TX.
