Follow on Google News | Last Meeting of the Prime VR2 Consortium Pisa, Italy, October 2022By: Prime VR2 Project The EU-funded H2020 PRIME-VR2 3-year project aimed to develop a state-of-art digital environment for VR rehabilitation at home and in clinics through a virtual gaming space that will provide effective therapy and friendly competition. It convened a multi-disciplinary consortium of 14 institutions in Italy, United Kingdom, Malta, Finland, Hungary, Netherlands, Ireland, Greece, and Cyprus, with project partners successfully developing the VRHAB-IT platform with a focus on supporting the development of functional motor skills in the upper body; with arm, hand and finger movements via a VR environment with advanced adaptive controllers which were co-created with users according to their ability and condition At this final Plenary project meeting, each work package lead updated on progress and achievements to date, overing actions in the projects 9 core work packages: Project Coordination, Platform requirements and data capture, Development of additive controller structures, Mechanical properties and assembly, Device and interface design, Platform Implementation, Platform Evaluation and Validation, Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation & Ethics requirements. Consortium partners worked together to set out clear completion plans, aimed at completing the validation, testing and commercial positioning of the project in the final months, preparing for the final submission of deliverable during Q4 2O22 and preparing for the projects final review meeting early in 20223.
