Follow on Google News | PrimeVR2 successfully completes development & testing of innovative VR controller for RehabilitationBy: ICP The Prime-VR2 controller was designed specifically to meet the needs of individuals with physical limitations, providing a highly immersive VR experience that can be tailored to each user's unique abilities and needs, with fully integrated training experiences utilizing custom developed games and scenarios. The controller features advanced motion-sensing technology and a series of customisable options, allowing users to interact with virtual environments in a natural and intuitive way using a controller built just for their use. Through extensive testing and development, we have found the Prime-VR2 controller to be highly effective in helping individuals with injuries or disabilities to regain strength, mobility, and independence, all in an enjoyable and safe virtual reality enabled manner. The controller has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from users, who have praised its ability to provide a fun and engaging rehabilitation experience. Over the course of the project, Prime VR2 published 16 academic papers, appeared in 36 media publications, showcased the innovation to over 350 interested parties, attended 5 major EU conferences, hosted 3 of its own Technical conferences, presented at 15 related events, trained more than 300 users on the new solution online, and connected with over 2000 followers via social media networks. The innovate work completed was also highlighted by the EU's Innovation Radar initiative, as a standout innovation arising for European research. We are thrilled to see the Prime-VR2 project reach its successful completion, and we believe that the controller has the potential to revolutionise the way that virtual and remote rehabilitation is approached for individuals with physical limitations. We look forward to bringing the Prime-VR2 controller to users and helping even more people to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
