LRP's National Institute Announces Eight Engaging Conference Symposiums

Pre- and Post-Conference Symposiums will include nationally recognized experts to assist special education professionals in making a positive impact on their students, programs and communities.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Dec. 6, 2022 - PRLog -- LRP's National Institute on Legal Issues of Educating Individuals with Disabilities®, the leading source for compliance strategies, best practices and case updates impacting special education programs, announced today six Pre- and two Post-Conference Symposiums. These eight extended-length Institute offerings will give special educators an opportunity to take a deeper look at major issues in their field including behavior management plans, dyslexia, autism and more as part of the event taking place April 16 – 19, 2023 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

One full-day Pre-Institute Symposium will be held on Sunday, April 16:

  • Dyslexia Eligibility, Goals, and Services presented by Jan Tomsky, Partner, Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost LLP.

Two Post-Institute Symposiums will conclude the conference and take place on Wednesday, April 19 in the afternoon:
  • Special Education Strategies to Address Truancy and School Refusal presented by Rebecca Heaton Hall, School Solicitor, Weiss Burkardt Kramer, LLC, and Dr. Jessica Dirsmith, Clinical Assistant Professor, Duquesne University.
  • All Things Autism with Pamela Leist, Shareholder, Ennis Britton Co., LPA.
