Wesley Reed Brings Home Helpers Home Care to Myrtle Beach

Reed is a veteran and, after basic training and AIT training, he returned to service in the Maryland Army National Guard. While in college and while serving in the national guard, he studied education and then transitioned into healthcare. He started working as a nursing assistant while in school and, when he graduated with his associates degree, took a materials management role for surgeries, where he coordinated equipment and supplies for the operating room. After a couple of years, Reed went into medical device sales, which has been doing for the last 27 years.

"I've seen the need for in-home care services throughout my career in medical device sales. During the pandemic, when that need increased and medical device sales slowed a bit, I started thinking about my own next steps and opportunities to use my experience in a new way," Reed said.
