"The Time Is Now' is a total contrast to my previous poem 'Meaning', and this time we're on a journey in the midst of some kind of apocalypse. I wanted this to sound powerful and grand, just as you'd expect from the end of the world as we all know it today. There is something grounding in believing we are not alone in the Universe, and as significant as we can think and feel with our emotions being very real, there is so much more out there – more beauty, more awe and marvel, but also more danger, intimidation and menace. This poem, a realisation, a struggle, and confusion of an unknown enemy I think confirms the fragility of human existence. Despite all this, we ourselves are still magnificent with the love and wonder we hold. I write that 'we hold close to us what means the most', and I feel that's a beautiful way to live".
