March 3rd is National Day of Unplugging

Turn off the phone, the tablet, the computer, the game console, and the TV (if only for a little while) to celebrate living in this beautiful world with the people you love!

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Feb. 28, 2023 - PRLog -- Why?
  1. Stop the Violence: The connection between violent video games has been well-established. Give peace a chance.
  1. End the Isolation: Social Media once promised to connect us better than ever before. Research has shown that it has isolated us more.
  1. Reduce Teen Suicide: Teen suicide rates have increased dramatically with the advent of social media. Lets get our kids offline and into the real world.
How?

Retired educator Tim McCarthy outlines a simple plan in his book Raising 4 Dimensional Children in a 2 Dimensional World, where the 2 dimensional world is the world of screens, and the 4 dimensional world is reality.

He not only provides the research behind why living in the 2 dimensional world is dangerous, he also provides over 400 age-appropriate real world activities to help parents connect with their children. One unique theory he has for the teen suicide issue is Frankenstein Envy.

Tim is available to provide some research references on these topics and provide examples of easy, fun activities parents can use to celebrate the National Day of Unplugging.

You can learn more about him at https://4d-2d.com/press/, including some exciting martial arts video footage to punctuate the interview, if you feel it is appropriate.
