Follow on Google News | ![]() Charlotte County Small Business class now accepting applicationsBy: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida Individuals who are thinking about starting their own business, but need some mentoring are invited to apply for the Port Charlotte class, scheduled for April 3 – May 11, 2023. Classes are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and Thursday evenings at the Charlotte County Goodwill Community Resource Center, located at 24123 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte. Attendance is limited, so sign up now. Graduates complete a comprehensive training course and prepare a solid plan to guide their start-up. They work with mentors who are successful businesspeople, and hear from subject matter experts in areas of accounting, legal, marketing, insurance and funding. An easy to use workbook, used by organizations across America, assists in transforming vision into a plan for a successful business. Recent program graduate says, "This course helped me to organize and plan out the steps for creating my business. Coming in, I had no idea how to start a business that would lead to success, and now I have that."
