Follow on Google News | Meridian Waste Celebrates Earth Day and the Easter season on April 1Meridian Waste is opening its gates to the community sharing breakfast, eco-friendly activities, and Easter egg hunts at free event.
By: Meridian Waste WHAT/WHY: Meridian Waste North Carolina is welcoming springtime at the Shotwell Environmental Park by inviting neighbors, local schools, non-profits, and civic organizations to the company's environmental facility while sharing appreciation with the surrounding community. Activities will include Meridian Waste's signature Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees can touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in the environmental services industry. Other activities will include: ● Free breakfast for all attendees ● Egg hunts for children from ages two to four, five to seven, and eight to ten ● Inflatable bounce house and obstacle course ● Face painting ● Egg painting ● Reusable Earth Day swag bags for the children Hidden throughout the hunt areas will be eggs painted like the Earth. Those who find the hand-painted eggs will trade their egg for a special surprise. One prize per Earth egg will be awarded to spread the most joy among the participants.
